Summer is in full swing, which means low-top kicks are the wave to make your ‘fit perfect with the hot weather. If you’re a die-hard Jordan head then their next summer-ready release is calling your name. It seems like every year around this time Jordan Brand drops a new Retro 11 release in a low-top version or the I.E. version. For those who don’t know, the Jordan 11 Low I.E. was first seen on Michael Jordan’s feet in 1995-96 during the NBA Playoffs (the same year the Chicago Bulls went 72-10), this was the first time since the AJI & AJII that a second silhouette height option of MJ’s signature shoe was made available. Once it was made clear that Sir Altitude was “all in” when it came to the Air Jordan 11 Low, Nike Inc wasted no time pumping out different colorways for him to wear.
Back in 2016 we got the OG version of the ‘Space Jam’ Air Jordan Retro 11 and now, we’re getting the summer appropriate I.E. version. Taking inspiration from the classic OG, The Air Jordan Retro 11 Low I.E. ‘Space Jam’ comes constructed out of a Black mesh and patent leather that’s so clean. Mesh makes up the majority of the shoes upper while Black leather takes over the toe box and is complimented by the signature patent leather from the Air Jordan 11 covers the entire mudguard. Instead of being on the outside of the heel like on the OG, the Concord Jumpman is now found on the tongue, and the shoe is completed by white midsole, and an icy Blue translucent outsole.
